Cool Sharks: Clay Sculpting Workshop at the Australian Museum

Learn all about sharks and sculpt your own out of clay in these school holiday workshops for children aged 5 to 8 and 9 to 13.

Sharks are some of the most famous creatures of the sea, but there’s so much more to learn about them. Did you know their skin is more like teeth than scales? Or that they have no bones? Or that many sharks are endangered? In this workshop, participants will learn all about these fascinating fish, and put that knowledge – and their imaginations – to use by creating their own clay shark sculptures to take home.

The workshops are taking place on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 September, from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm for 5 to 8-year-olds and 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm for 9 to 13-year-olds. The Australian Museum accepts Creative Kids Vouchers—so if you've got one going spare, this is a great opportunity to use it!
