Cherry Blossom Festival At World Square 2019

If you’re not keen to venture out to the Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival at Auburn Botanic Gardens, fret not! World Square is putting on a cherry-blossom-themed show, allowing you to enjoy Japanese cultural events, interactive digital displays, free workshops, prizes and more!

World Square will be bringing to life an immersive augmented reality experience projecting you onto the big digital screen, where you can interact and ‘touch’ the Cherry Blossoms, watching the petals explode. You can also create a personalised message to be shared on the screen and posted to your social media channels.

There’ll also be a custom-built selfie flower wall for all your Instagram needs! Take a selfie and share your magical Cherry Blossom moments on social media using #WSqCherryBlossom for your chance to win incredible weekly prizes.

Cultural activities will run throughout the two week festival including traditional Japanese drumming, calligraphy, DIY sushi making kids workshops, martial arts displays and traditional Japanese cultural dancing.
