Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre WOW Festival

The WOW Festival is a fun-filled annual extravaganza for children and families at the vibrant Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.

Curated especially for young people up to fifteen years old and their families, WOW (Way Out West) Festival 2023 will take over the Powerhouse's public spaces for three days during the school holidays to deliver a wide and immersive line-up of creative and cultural events and activities including and will include drop-in events, hands-on workshops, performances, silent discos, outdoor adventure play, and music, creating a fully immersive and engaging experience. 

This year's program celebrates birds, flight, and the transformative power of imagination and the Festival will WOW you with a bunch of FREE events, plus nothing in the paid program costs more than $20.

In 2023, WOW is celebrating birds, flight, and the transformative power of imagination with a bumper Festival program that includes:

• Theatre & Music
• Hands-On Activities
• Outdoor Fun
• Workshops

Highlights of the program include four big musical acts presented by Major Minor Music Australia: much-loved Aussie kid’s entertainer Peter Combe; award-winning musician and author Josh Pyke; kid's music group Tiptoe Giants; and family-friendly folk musician Angie Who.

Kids will also love The Big Build where they can get their hands on hammers and nails and let their imaginations run wild, The Makers Market where you can meet crafty kids and buy their unique creations, and Boxwars, another favourite where kids can turn themselves into cardboard birds and fly with green screen! 

Make sure your little superstars don't miss the huge youth talent competition in collaboration with The Street University - a super cool showcase of artistry and creativity.

Bookings are required for all events (even the free ones) unless otherwise stated on the event.
