Camperdown Commons Midwinter Events For Families

  • Sat Jun 23 2018
  • Toddlers
    Preschoolers
    Kids
  • From: $15.00

Kids can escape the city traffic for an hour or two with a tour of Pocket City Farm. They (and accompanying adults, if they want to get their hands dirty) will learn about native bees, beneficial flowers, chooks and growing veges. Plus there's some fun hands-on gardening and a seedling to take home.

Taste buds will be thanking their owners for the winter inspired tastings on acre's lawn. Warm up with mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, spiced hot chocolate, Gypsy Coffee, Winda’s Winter Bakery and Australian spirits & cheeses.

Kids will be making their parents dinner after this tasty treat of a work-shop, with how to make and throw pizza dough, topped with herbs freshly picked from the garden and their favourite ingredients. Plus they get to eat it after it’s perfectly cooked!

There's also a Dinosaur and Fairy Garden workshop ($30pp) where kids can create their own little world of prehistoric promise or magical mayhem in this living play garden filled with dinosaurs and fairies that they can take home.

Where:  Camperdown Commons
When:   23 June, 2018, 11am and 1.30pm
Cost:    Urban Farm Adventure $15, Dinosaur Fariy Garden workshop $30
