Every September, Camden Festival enlivens and transforms Camden with a variety of activities and events.

The program offered a diverse range of events and aimed to cater for all. The Festival is a celebration of Camden and what the Camden Local Government Area has to offer.

Picnic in the Park 
Bring a picnic and relax in the beautiful surrounds of Macarthur Park whilst enjoying live acoustic entertainment with floral crown making and pot plant painting also on offer. Camden Council will be handing out free native plants and providing plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained with a jumping castle, face painting and petting zoo.

Kids Fun Day (for kids 5yrs and under)
A full-on fun day out for children and their parents, featuring roving entertainment and the Ronald McDonald Magic Show, an appearance by Batman and the Batmobile, face painting, clowns, an animal farm, novelty stalls, hair spraying plus story time with the library and many other free activities. There's also a free BBQ lunch.

Cinema Under the Stars
Come and experience the magic of Disney's Moana, bring the whole family and enjoy the ultimate outdoor movie experience at the Australia Botanic Garden, Mount Annan beside the lake and under the stars. There will be free kids activities from 4pm before the movie begins. Hawaiian themed activities including lay throwing games, coconut bowling, Hawaiian pizza party and more.

TASTE Food, Wine and Music Festival 
A fun afternoon of mouth-watering food, drinks and live entertainment. Bring your picnic rug, grab a spot on the lawn and enjoy over 35 food and beverage stalls including some of the finest local food, wines and beers, food trucks, produce and preserves. Enjoy celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, children’s cooking workshops, face painting and an animal farm.

Other events during the festival include:
9 September: Skateboarding Clinics - An opportunity for young people to have fun together while practising their skills with a professional skateboard coach. Kirkham Skate Park, Hilder St, Elderslie - 10am-12pm 

16 & 17 September: Camden Park House & Garden Open Day - Still the private home of the Macarthur descendants today, Camden Park will open for house and garden tours, gift and plant stalls, history talks, Devonshire teas and a BBQ lunch.

23 & 24 September: Relay For Life - A fun and moving overnight experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services. Starts 9.30am 23 Sept and ends 10am 24 Sept.

September: Youth Movie Night - For young people, 12 - 25 years, who live, work or study in the Camden Local Government Area.
