Cambridge Markets EQ: Fun For The Whole Family These Holidays

Families looking for great entertainment these June-July school holidays should head to the Entertainment Quarter for a day of healthy outdoor fun that kids and adults alike can enjoy.

Cambridge Markets EQ is hosting bumper markets over the holiday period — from June 26 to July 10 — to keep locally bound families entertained.

These bumper markets will include a bounty of activities for kids and families including family-friendly stalls, plenty of kid-friendly foods and special activities.

Special activities will include:

• A jumping castle
• Fishing joy game for tiny tots
• Face painting
• Hair braiding
• Plaster painting
• Succulents classes
• Sand art activities

The market will also offer beautifully curated, high-quality stalls to appeal to the whole family including handmade kids’ clothing from Scoken, kids’ clothing and accessories from Paris Daisy Couture and Four Little Friends, baby clothes, tethers and swaddles from Umka Baby, children’s learning books, soft toys, wall charts and hanging mobiles from Cute Educational Toys and jewellery for tweens from Bowerbird Jewels.

The markets complement the regular EQ lineup of great venues for kids including Strike Bowling, Hoyts Cinemas and Monkey Mania. There are also playgrounds and climbing frames plus plenty of notable eateries including Black Star Pastry and Fratelli Fresh.

The market is a fabulous place for tiny tots, kids and tweens during the holidays as it offers an all-weather outdoor alternative to the shopping mall. It's a good outdoor space where kids can roam free without parents having to worry about traffic and cars. Entry is free and there are two hours of undercover parking, also free.
