Behind-The-Scenes Tours of Sydney Airport and Naval Base Garden Island For NSW Kids In Need

Now in its fifth year, the NSW Kids in Need Open Day event series raises much-needed funds to support the vital work of child-focussed charities by offering exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to Sydney Airport and naval base Garden Island.  

On Sunday 22 September, Sydney Airport will throw open its doors to the public with a 90-minute airside tour showcasing the main runway, as well as the Domestic and International precincts. Also on that day, the Royal Australian Navy will open the gates to Garden Island for guests to explore HMAS Choules, one of the tallest ships in the Royal Australian Navy fleet. 

The event series is a fundraising drive for super charity NSW Kids in Need which supports the vital work of child-focussed charities including:

• Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice;
• The Burns Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead;
• Central Coast Kids in Need;

• Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia;
• Muscular Dystrophy NSW
• SHINE for Kids

Cost: From $10 to $100pp (Guests only over the age of 12 are permitted).
