Autumn Fair - The Secret Garden & Nursery In Richmond
- Sat May 12 2018
The Secret Garden and Nursery is celebrating autumn at their new site on the grounds of Western Sydney University at Richmond!
Go along and explore their beautiful new home – a wonderful community hub that keeps growing as new groups and organisations join them on this 25-acre site.
They currently have a Retail Nursery, Accessible Gardens, Farmyard Animals, Children’s Playground, Fairy Garden, Mud Brick Café, Bee Hotel making, Candle Making, Music Room, Recycling project, Woodwork Workshop, Hawkesbury Valley Men’s Shed and Riding for the Disabled all on site.
Experience cottage gardens, plants, live music all day, pony rides, fun children's activities, coffee, home-made Devonshire teas, freshly cooked pizzas from our wood-fired pizza oven, BBQ and fresh local food. An array of stalls will be selling their treasures on the Village Green.
Their new train has arrived – get on board for fun rides around the gardens! The “New” Secret Garden has a focus on community inclusion based on a therapeutic environment offering a safe, supportive and educational space for people of all ages and stages of life.
The retail nursery has hundreds of beautiful plants that are grown as part of the Horticultural Therapy Program, with the sale of these plants enabling North West Disability Services to provide support for the delivery of all their programs.
