Australian Reading Hour - Stories that Matter for Teens (Virtual Event)

  • Mon Sep 13 - Fri Sep 17 2021
  • Teens
  • $0.00

Celebrate Australian Reading Hour in your classroom with this inspiring event for young people featuring some of their favourite Australian writers and illustrators including Tobias Madden, Will Kostakis, Danielle Binks, Jenna Guillaume, Sara Hagdhootsi, and Lili Wilkinson.

Come behind the pages to discover how the stories we tell, real and imagined, help shape our sense of identity, belong and understanding, as individuals, communities, and as a nation.

This event also explores career pathways into books and publishing and showcases an extraordinary interactive 360° film based on the life of Peek Wurrung Elder Uncle Rob Lowe.

With continuing lockdowns, these FREE Australian Reading Hour celebrations are available for ALL schools and libraries nationally to screen on demand from Monday 13 to Friday 17 September – a perfect end to term three.
