The Sydney Children’s Choir is the place to be for kids who love to sing. Discover the joy of singing as a choir, meet friends who share similar interests and be part of something truly extraordinary.

Rehearsals at the Sydney CBD take place at the stunning Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, surrounded by some of Australia’s leading arts companies. Rehearsals in Parramatta CBD take place at PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square, a beautiful new hub for art and culture.

 

Our choral training program offers a standard of vocal training unsurpassed in Australia, developing each chorister in choral singing, aural skills, music theory, composition, sight singing, movement and professionalism on and off stage. The program goes beyond the school curriculum, allowing choristers to extend their musical knowledge and providing them with exciting performance opportunities.

Over the years, the Sydney Children’s Choir has sung regularly at the Sydney Opera House, performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and appeared at key international events such as the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games. The choir are well recognised for their crystal-clear sound, their courageous and compelling performance style and their signature repertoire of contemporary Australian music.

The SCC Young Men’s Choir provides opportunities for young people with changed and changing voices. The opportunities for Young Men's Choir are many and varied, exploring a wide range of repertoire and performing in venues such as the Sydney Opera House.

 

There are choirs for young singers at all ages and stages of their musical journey – children must be at least five years of age and in Kindergarten to join. Children up to Year 5 will be placed in the choir most suited to their age. We will listen to children in year 6 and up so that they can sing in the best choir for them.
