Melbourne-based theatre company AG Theatre is huffing, puffing and bringing the house down with their new production of The 3 Little Pigs, running for a limited season at the National Theatre in St Kilda this winter school holidays.

Hot on the trotters of their smash-hit season of Avenue Q, the talented team is turning up the charm with a hilarious, heartwarming musical for the whole family.

Written by Olivier Award-winning duo Stiles & Drewe (the clever team behind Mary Poppins), this wildly entertaining retelling of the classic tale is filled with catchy songs, larger-than-life characters, and a good dose of cheeky humour.

The story follows the three very different piglets - Bar, Bee and Q - as they finally set off to build their own homes, armed with nothing but a sack of acorns and a heap of determination. Cue giggles, gasps, and a few huffs and puffs as they learn about courage, creativity, and what it means to be family.

The six-strong cast is led by Aussie screen favourite Susan-Ann Walker (Winners & Losers, Blue Heelers, Ms Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries) as the over-it Mother Pig, who’s had just about enough of her three piglets and their refusal to fly the coop. Also starring Isabelle Davis (Share House: The Musical), Zak Vasiliou (Weird Al Piano Bar), Jake Lonergan (Thank God You’re Here), Joey Phyland (VCA grad), and newcomer Ben Hamilton, this talented troupe brings bucketloads of fun and energy to the stage.

Perfect for 2 – 7 years old and their adults, the show runs for 55 minutes with no interval.

Playing at The National Theatre in St Kilda from Wednesday to Sunday, this show is a school holiday must-see for lovers of this famous fable! From its charming characters to its uplifting message, the joyful production celebrates creativity, courage, and the power of friendship.
