Stompers at Kathleen Syme Library

Bring your toddler along for a Monday morning of stories, songs and rhymes at Stompers at Kathleen Syme Library.

Stompers is a free weekly session at Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre in Carlton for children aged 18 months to 3 years. Each session mixes picture books, singing and activities for you and your child to enjoy together.

What to Expect at Stompers at Kathleen Syme Library

Stompers starts at 10.30 am and finishes at 11.15 am, which gives your toddler 45 minutes of stories, rhymes and songs in a room full of books. You sit alongside your child and join in, and the library hopes every toddler who comes along will build a lifelong love of books, starting with their first Monday morning visit with a grown-up they trust. Easy.

The session runs every Monday during term, with seven dates between 26 October and 7 December 2026. Programs stop during school holidays, so check the dates first. Every session follows the same easy rhythm, so toddlers who like to know what comes next settle in quickly (and the singing gets louder each week!).

Stompers is free, and you don't need to book. You can turn up on the day with your pram and your toddler. If you have a question before you go, the library events team answers on 1800 695 427.
