Shrine Kids at the Shrine of Remembrance
Pack a hat, grab a kit bag and follow Duffy the Donkey around the grounds on a Shrine Kids morning at the Shrine of Remembrance!
Shrine Kids is a free, self-guided family program that takes you through the Shrine's indoor and outdoor areas with activity cards and an Explorer Kit.
What to Expect at Shrine Kids
The preschool walking trail features Duffy the Donkey. It's the part of Shrine Kids the City of Melbourne lists for preschoolers, so start there with your little one and see how far the legs go.
Four activity cards set the theme for the rest of the visit: Unlock the secrets, Discover how things work, Use your imagination and Solve the mysteries. There's a scavenger hunt to take part in, and the Shrine's staff can share tips on where to look.
The Explorer Kit comes from the Visitor Centre and holds a magnifying glass, a periscope, a kaleidoscope, a compass, a notebook, a pencil, a finger puppet and a picture book, which you return at the end of your visit.
