Melbourne Now 2023 - A Family-Friendly Celebration of Local Art and Design

Celebrating new and ambitious local art and design, Melbourne Now 2023 will showcase a diverse range of contemporary disciplines, making it an ideal event for families and children to enjoy. This exhibition will feature various forms of art, including fashion, jewellery, painting, sculpture, architecture, ceramics, video, performance, printmaking, and publishing.

Ten years after its inaugural 2013 exhibition, Melbourne Now returns in 2023 to once again highlight the latest art, architecture, design, and cultural practices shaping Melbourne. This family-friendly event is perfect for introducing children to the world of art and design, fostering their creativity and curiosity.

The exhibition will also feature the second edition of the hugely popular 'Design Wall,' which showcases work by dozens of the city's most innovative design practitioners. Additionally, the NGV Kids interactive projects will provide engaging and hands-on experiences for children, making it a fun and educational outing for the entire family.

Taking place throughout all levels of The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Melbourne Now 2023 will display new works and commissions by emerging, mid-career, and senior practitioners, as well as local collectives. This bold, large-scale exhibition is the perfect opportunity for families to explore and appreciate the vibrant art and design scene in Melbourne.
