Luna Dark 2025: Carnivale of Screams at Luna Park Melbourne this Halloween

Tame by day, terrifying by night, be prepared to scream in fright this Halloween as Melbourne’s Luna Park makes its hair-raising transformation into Luna Dark.

Over six frightful nights and two family-friendly days, Melbourne’s biggest costume party returns to turn St Kilda’s beloved seaside park into the Carnivale of Screams. From scare mazes and haunted rides to sweet treats and spooky fun for little monsters, Luna Dark promises a Halloween experience for the whole family.

Halloween Fun for All Ages

By daylight, Luna Park is all about treats (not tricks). The Daytime Kids Sessions from 11 am to 5 pm are packed with gentle thrills and monster-sized fun for younger visitors, including roaming Wizz Fizz Monsters, themed Games Huts, sherbet prizes, and plenty of “fangtastic” photo ops with friendly ghosts and ghouls.

The Wizz Fizz Treat Zone offers delicious goodies while little ones explore rides like the Grand Carousel and Speedy Beetle.

When night falls, the carnival takes a darker turn. From 6 pm to midnight, the park transforms into a playground of fear with unlimited rides, live entertainment and chilling surprises around every corner.

Scream your way through classic rides like the Ghost Train, Enterprise, and the iconic Great Scenic Railway under the eerie glow of Luna Dark.

Live Entertainment and Scare Attractions

Hosted by the fabulous Beverly Kills, the Luna Dark main stage comes alive with drag, circus and music performances from Sian and The Engagement.  The Behind the Screams Haunted House returns with new horrors lurking in the shadows, and the End of the Line Darkness Experience will push even the bravest souls to their limits.
