This event is all about stepping into a world of stunning light installations and mesmerising soundscapes.

Gumbuya Dreaming: Indigenous Light Experience

Gumbuya means 'meeting place,' so you're invited to join friends and family at Gumbuya World to experience the magic of 'Gumbuya Dreaming'. 

As you wander through the Dreaming Zones, you'll be enchanted by the vibrant beauty of flowers, the dynamic dance of fire and water, and the majestic presence of land and animals. Gumbuya Dreaming is a sensory feast that promises to leave you spellbound.

The Dreaming Zones

Gumbuya Gathering

Embark on a captivating exploration of Aboriginal culture, starting with a lively Smoking Ceremony at the entrance. Move through the Plaza, illuminated with changing colors, and enter the Gumbuya Gathering Zone, where a smoky sculpture enhanced by dynamic lighting awaits, inviting moments of reflection and connection. Finally, meander into the Dreaming Field, where flowers glisten among the surrounding trees.

Fire & Water

Discover the 'Fire & Water' zones, where vibrant lasers lead you along the Water/Fire River. Take a moment at the picturesque Billabong and marvel at the Hairyman trees, now a dazzling display of colours. Experience the captivating Fire Dance, a performance filled with fiery movements that celebrate the art of storytelling. End your journey at Emu Promises, where guests can send written notes in glowing emu eggs down the Lazy River, symbolising renewal and a deep connection to the land.

Land & Animals

In 'Land & Animals', nature's marvels blend seamlessly with First Nations' narratives. Encounter the Talking Trees, an enchanting showcase of smoke, mirrors, and sounds. Venture further into the Cave of Smoke, where melodies and swirling mists create a captivating experience. Pause at the Bogong Moth Story, where glowing toadstools light your way. Finally, reach the Dream Forest, a serene haven that immerses you in the beauty of both culture and nature.
