Did You Know: There's Glamping In Mudgee

We have your next family weekender sorted: luxury glamping in Mudgee! Combining the best of the outdoors with all the comforts of a luxury holiday, this could be the perfect family holiday to unplug, go off-grid, and put a smile on the dial of children and adults, indoorsy and outdoorsy people alike.

Sierra Escape is Mudgee's first (and only!) luxury eco glamping experience, offering city-dwellers a comfortable getaway in the midst of nature. Opened by locals Cam and Tasch D’Arcy, the Sierra Escape concept truly is an experience that will immerse families in the beautiful NSW countryside. The D'Arcy's, according to Broadsheet, provide glampers with breakfast packs during their stay and encourage guests to find local Mudgee wines and fresh produce to enjoy and cook onsite. Beautiful surrounds and gorgeous food....could this be the perfect getaway?

Tents Fit For A King

Glamping tents are constructed by Eco Structures and are insulated for warmth in the winter, and have large floor-to-ceiling windows to let a cool breeze roll in during Summer. They are a generous 18m2 fit with a king bed, running water, a stove, a fridge, a fireplace, flushable toilets, power charge points and rainfall showerheads, with incredible views over rolling hills- the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Guests will enjoy roasting marshmallows over the open fire, a warm bath (the facilities are incredible!), reading a book on the deck, adventuring up to the Sierra lookout, strolling the 20-minute walk to town, or checking out a local winery.

You'll feel right at home amongst kangaroos, deer and native birdlife on this huge 280-acre property that you'll never want to wave goodbye to. You can stay here for around $250-$350 per night per tent depending on the month. Not convinced? Check out these gorgeous photos:
