Delight in the respendent grounds of the subtropical gardens, and take a leisurely stroll through themed gardens such as Japanese and cactus too. Fun for all ages, accessibility for wheelchairs, prams and cars (no cars allowed on weekends and public holidays and from 4pm week days). You can also visit the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium here (entry fee applies) and visit the cafe for lunch or morning/afternoon tea. Entry is free and there are loads of shady spots to put down a picnic rug.

ellaslist opinion: The Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium has some great programs and shows for school aged children. Check out their website for more info.
