Celebrate the longest night of the year at Northey Street City Farm’s Winter Solstice Festival. Saturday 22 June marks the shortest day of the year and longest night, and if you ask the crew at Northey Street, it is cause for much celebration.

This annual festival features live music, dancing, a lantern parade, bonfire, delicious food and plenty of talks and workshop. There will be a big singing workshop and African drumming. Kids and teens will be kept occupied with Earth Arts and Upcycled Art activities, as well as lantern making workshops and the opportunity to build forts.

ellaslist opinion: This will be a zero waste event, so bring your own cutlery, plates, bowls and water bottles.
