Inspired by Gregory Maguire's novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, WICKED gives us the backstory of the enigmatic Wicked Witch from the iconic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.

This isn't your typical fairy tale. Long before Dorothy drops into Oz, we meet another young woman with emerald-green skin. She's clever, fiery, misunderstood, and loaded with raw talent. Her life takes a twist when she bumps into a bubbly blonde who's the life of the party. What starts as rivalry transforms into the most unexpected friendship… until society labels one "good" and the other "wicked".

But WICKED goes deeper, exploring the essence of its characters with a sincerity that shatters the old clichés. Through stirring songs and chic staging, it delves into what it means to truly be good or wicked—and how perspectives can change depending on who's telling the story.
