The Life and Times of Scarface Claw

When your kids were young it's likely that they would have delighted in Scarface Claw in Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy(1983). And now Scarface Claw takes centre stage in his very own exhibition!

This is a lovely show revealing the development of Scarface Claw from the early days to his latest appearance in his very own story, his story, Scarface Claw, Hold Tight! (2017). There are more than 40 beautiful original watercolour illustrations by author and illustrator – Dame Lynley Dodd.

You will love this exhibtion as it's a great opportunity to explore the creative process behind the stories that are beloved by children and adults.

Visitors are invited to pop into the Scarface Claw photo booth and share their visit to the exhibition.

You can always also stay longer and cuddle up in our reading nook where a range of Lynley Dodd books are available. Youngsters can also attend a weekly theatrical reading of Lynley Dodd books with storyteller Wendy Whiskers.
