Watch the skies of Brisbane light up and sparkle as you ring in the New Year. Southbank Parklands is super family friendly. Pack a picnic and secure your spot by the river to watch the spectacular fireworks display. There is an 8:30pm display for little ones to get home at a reasonable hour, as well as the midnight display for the older kids. There will be food trucks aplenty, a bunch of portaloos set up to avoid crazy lines security patrols for peace of mind.
ellaslist opinion: If you're not a crowd person, you might want to rethink this option. Southbank on New Years Eve is pretty hectic. But on the other hand, if you see a crowd as just a bunch of friends you haven't met yet, this is the place for you!
