The festive season is lighting up Redlands Coast once again, with the region preparing a joyful calendar of events, activities, and sparkling displays for families to enjoy.

Festive Programs Across Redland City Council Venues
Throughout December, Council locations will come alive with holiday cheer. Libraries, the Redland Performing Arts Centre, the Redland Art Gallery, and Redlands IndigiScapes Centre will host everything from seasonal crafts and workshops to inspiring exhibitions and outdoor adventures. It's a chance for locals and visitors to get creative, connect with the community, and soak up the magic of Christmas.
Christmas Hub & Santa's Hotline
From late November through Christmas Eve, the Redlands Coast Visitor Information Centre at 50 Middle Street, Cleveland, will transform into a merry Christmas hub. Families can pop in to chat with the friendly team, pick up the full program, and step into the charming Santa phone booth. Kids can lift the receiver to hear a message from Santa himself and record their own Christmas wishes for him to hear.
Christmas Lights Across Redlands Coast
The region will shine bright with enchanting festive displays perfect for evening strolls and family photos. Look out for magical installations at:
- Raby Bay Harbour Park – festoon and tree lights
- Wellington Point Village Green – giant illuminated present
- Cleveland Point – glowing 2D star
- Capalaba Youth Plaza – giant 2D Christmas tree
- Stradbroke Street, Redland Bay – illuminated poincianas
Redlands Coast Lighting of the Christmas Tree
A community favourite is returning for another year, with Raby Bay Harbour Park set to light up over two spectacular nights. This much-loved celebration marks the official start of Christmas on Redlands Coast.
Families can expect live carols by talented local performers, brilliant lighting displays, street entertainers, children's rides, markets, delicious food trucks, and free Santa photos. A Christmas movie under the stars will round out the evening, so pack a picnic blanket or chairs and settle in for a night of festive fun.
Free Christmas Carousel
The magic continues at Raby Bay Harbour Park, where a free Christmas carousel will be spinning daily from late November to early December.
Proudly presented by Redland City Council and sponsored by Raby Bay Harbour, this charming ride offers a delightful moment of whimsy for both kids and grown-ups - no bookings needed!
Augmented Reality Christmas Trail
Add a sprinkle of digital enchantment to your festive adventures with an interactive augmented reality trail around Redlands Coast.
Simply download the CreativiTek app, scan the special decals, and watch Santa appear in different spots across the region. Share your discoveries using #ChristmasOnRedlandsCoast.

Plus, Cleveland Point offers a special AR surprise, where Santa appears to wander around the lighthouse - perfect for memorable festive photos.
Christmas Colouring-in Competition
Budding young artists can join the citywide colouring-in competition from mid-November to Christmas Eve.
Entry forms can be collected and dropped off at five Santa Mailboxes located at:
- Redlands Coast Visitor Information Centre, Cleveland
- Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, Capalaba
- Redland City Council Libraries in Cleveland, Capalaba and Victoria Point
Christmas Flicks
Redlands Coast will also host Festive Flicks, a series of free outdoor Christmas movie nights.
Families can enjoy sparkling lights, roving entertainers, tasty food options and complimentary Santa photos before settling in under the night sky with their chairs, blankets and picnics. It's a relaxed and magical way to enjoy Christmas classics with loved ones.
