Christmas 2019 Fireworks At Southbank, Brisbane

Southbank Parklands are ablaze in the lead-up to Christmas with a nightly fireworks display to thrill families of all ages. These fireworks are on in the final few days in the countdown to Christmas and they have become a Brisbane institution.

For the best views, grab a spot on the Clem Jones Promenade, although this will also be the most crowded spot. You can also get a great view from Streets Beach (bonus: watch from the pool!), River Quay and the Cultural Forecourt. 

The Christmas Fireworks are on 20 to 23 December 2019 from 8pm to 8.15pm and are free.

ellaslist opinion: Other fireworks displays throughout the year can be viewed from all along the river, but these fireworks are smaller and are best viewed from Southbank. Chairs and other portable seating aren't allowed on Clem Jones Parade so if you'd like to bring your own seat, find a spot back on one of the grassed areas.

Facilities: Southbanks is fully equipped for any occasion, with swimming pools, public toilets, and a range of restaurants and cafes, from takeaways to fine dining and everything in between.

Getting there: Southbank is at the centre of a public transport hub, with two train stations (Southbank and South Brisbane) and the Southbank Bus Station. There is also metered street parking and paid undercover carparks.
