For the next three months the QAGOMA Children's Art Centre will be presenting 'Ben Quilty: Family Portrait', as part of the major exhibition ‘Quilty’.

In this gorgeous interactive exhibition for children, leading Australian artist Ben Quilty encourages an exploration of the art of portraiture in an artist studio setting. Ben’s children Joe and Olivia also feature in the exhibtion and appear in a video which takes children inside Ben’s studio in New South Wales and shows his approach to making art.

'Family Portrait' is a hands-on the exhibition that really encourages children and families to jump in and get involved in the creative process. Activities include portrait drawing, digital self-portrait creation and experiencing art in a different way with replicas you can touch.
