The excitement is growing - literally! The Woolworths Discovery Garden is back to encourage Aussie kids to spend more time outdoors and for families to create fresh and healthy habits at home, and this time the Discovery Garden seedlings have something new to teach the kiddies.

From Wednesday (10 February), for every $30 spent in-store or online, Woolworths customers can collect a new Discovery Garden seedling kit. Woolworths Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Hicks said: “We’re excited to once again offer our customers the Woolworths Discovery Garden collection. The response to our first Discovery Garden program in 2019 was overwhelmingly positive, with families collecting millions of seedling kits and discovering how to grow the flowers, vegetables, and herbs together.

Woolworths Discovery Garden
The new Woolworths Discovery Garden is available from 10 February 2021.

The new Woolworths Discovery Garden seedlings kits will offer 24 varieties of seedlings for kids to grow, but this time around the seedlings won't just flourish but will do so while attracting bees. Seedlings like thyme, oregano, lemon balm, lavender, poppy, and cabbage will be included in the Discovery Garden packets to raise awareness of just how important our Aussie bees are. Pollination is integral to sustainable food production while nurturing bee-attracting varieties is important given the number of floral resources that have been decimated by recent droughts, bushfires and floods.

Each Discovery Garden seedling kit includes seeds, a compostable pot, biodegradable seed mat and coco pellet pod. All the packaging from the seedling kits is FSC certified and 100% recyclable.

Happy planting!
