We Died And Went To High Tea Heaven At Sofitel❜s Claris The Mouse High Tea

When we RSVP'd Yes, Yes, and Yes! to attend Sofitel's exquisite Claris The Mouse High Tea and stay the night as part of their Accommodation Package, we suspected we'd be getting some VIP attention, but we didn't expect THIS! 5-star indulgence was on the menu from the minute we entered the exceptional 5-star Sofitel Hotel in Darling Harbour. 

A French Affair

First up was High Tea the French way in Sofitel’s signature restaurant, Atelier. Hosted by Megan Hess, the author of acclaimed children's series, Claris The Mouse, this High Tea service is quite unlike any other. If you're fans of Claris The Mouse you'll know that she's the chicest mouse in Paris and wouldn't invite all her friends to a high tea without serving the creme de la creme of tea, pastries, cupcakes, and macarons. All these delicacies plus hundreds of pretty pink roses, balloons and a mouth-watering chocolate fountain dazzle the eyes as soon as you enter Atelier and ensure you're in for a very sweet treat. 

High Tea Menu

The chicest high tea menu was designed by Sofitel's Head Pastry Chef, Puti Firmansyah, and included delicious dessert creations, scones, pink macarons, chocolate Madeleines, rosewater pannacotta, baby quiches, sandwiches and more. The three-tiered high tea stands whisked around the room and landed with sheer delight on the tables as excited mini hands grabbed for the pink deliciousness! 

Pink lemonade, champagne and a selection of free-flowing teas and coffee were also on the menu. And for even more sweetness, the chocolate fountain was overflowing with mouth-watering dark chocolate and had a selection of fruits, marshmallows, churros and other delicacies for dipping. PLUS, little mice got to walk away with their own Claris The Mouse Giftbag, which includes their own copy of Claris The Mouse and a themed calendar.

Our Stay At Sofitel

After eating our weight in cakes, macarons, and chocolate, it was time to check-in to our hotel suite as part of Sofitel's special High Tea And Accommodation Package.

An exquisite, light-filled room with stunning views over Darling Harbour greeted us as we walked in the door, and the indulgence didn't stop there. The spacious room had a generous king-sized bed and a single bed for little mice staying for the night. The elegance of Claris The Mouse was splashed throughout the room, including a special pastry platter and monogrammed bathrobe. In true Sofitel style, lavish additions were included in the room such as heated flooring, Hermès toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, LED Smart TV, spacious bathtub, and floor-to-ceiling windows. We loved the kid-sized slippers! After a luxurious nights sleep, we indulged (yet again!) on Sofitel's buffet breakfast and it's safe to say we struggled to button up our pants by the end of it all!

The exquisite Claris The Mouse High Tea will be running every Saturday until 12 October at Sofitel Darling Harbour. Prices start at $35 per child and $69 per adult.
