There's Wheelie Park, Orchard Park and now to complete the trio is Slidey Park. These are the newest (and dare we say cutest named) playgrounds in Sydney and you'll find them in the new residential estate of The Gables, Box Hill.

The three parks, found in the north west of Sydney, are connected by a shared bike and pedestrian footpaths, and have each been given a different themed experience.

Orchard park has a focus on swings; Wheelie has been designed for bikes and scooters while the third, Slidey Park, - yes you guessed it - is all about slides.

Slide Into Slidey Park

It offically opened in July and you'll find it on Fontana Drive. Its playground is complete with hillside slides and encourges picnics and play for young and old. It has slides, climbing nets, swings and a skate area which is cordoned off by perimeter fencing.

Wheel Into Wheelie Park

Located on Cataract Road, this one has been designed for two-wheel fun. It includes a “learn to ride” scoot and bike track as well as a longer track for those more confident in their skills. In the future, connecting pathways will take cyclists from Wheelie park through the riparian corridor and to the heart of The Gables town centre.

Trees A Crowd At Orchard Park

The Orchard park includes a playground, cycleways and footpaths as well as a cooling riparian corridor.  Mature trees are an additional and pleasing feature of the popular Park.

Community groups within the new estate are also using the new space with a playgroup set-up recently and fitness activities also being planned.

You'll find The Gables close to the Rouse Hill Town Centre, Sydney North West Rail Link as well as the Schofields train line.
