Most are already sold out but you can still soak up the sunshine and enjoy a long lunch and drinks at The Newport's outdoor courtyard, go for a Cantonese style Melbourne Cup feast at inner-city icon Mr. Wong or try your luck on the day at some of the casual walk-in restaurants and bars.
The Meat & Wine Co
Watch all the race-day action from a premium dining area, private room or outdoor patio at The Meat & Wine Co in Barangaroo and Circular Quay. Settle in for an exceptional 3-course Melbourne Cup lunch or dinner package featuring nibbles on arrival, followed by entrees, mains and desserts, and two-hours of beverages, plus sweepstakes and prizes for best-dressed.
Bungalow 8
Bungalow 8 promises more Melbourne Cup racing action right by the harbour. While away the afternoon in the iconic beer garden with a special 3 course sit down lunch and a glass of Piper Heidsieck on arrival plus a 2-hour beverage pack between 1-3pm. for $129pp. Every race will be live on the big screens and there will be prizes and sweepstakes running! If there is anything left in the tank, there is also an after-party from 3pm.
The Sackville Hotel
The first Tuesday of November can't come soon enough at The Sackville in the heart of Rozelle, the perfect spot to watch all the action live and loud. For $69 each, get access to the exclusive member's section, a glass of champagne on arrival and a decadent set menu, plus there will be prizes for best dressed.
The Bridgeview
Melbourne Cup Day at the Bridgeview is a day of fun and flutters with the big race on the big screen and awesome prizes for the best dressed. Doltone House
With events at their stunning venues in Pyrmont and Sylvania Waters, prepare for fine food and fabulous fashion while watching the race at Doltone House. Enjoy a cocktail on arrival followed by a 3 course sit down luncheon with flowing Prosecco and premium wines and beers. There will also be sweepstakes and prizes to be won.
Fratelli Fresh
Open exclusively for Melbourne Cup, Fratelli Fresh are set for a cracker day at their spacious Darling Harbour venue. With nine large-screen TVs you won't miss a thing as you indulge on a four-course lunch and drinks package from 12pm to 3pm for $99pp. A series of pop-up bars will cater to lovers of spritz (10 flavours to choose from!), frozen Aperol, frosé and rosé, wine and sparkling wine, Campari, five tap beers, Fratelli wine and soft drinks.
El Camino Cantina
If the race doesn't get you here, the churros will - or maybe the ten exclusive Day of the Dead frozen margarita flavours! El Camino Cantina in The Rocks will be hosting a seated shared lunch from 12pm to 2pm including two hours of drinks for $79 per person. The multi-zoned space will have 20 large-screen TVs tuned into the race, prizes for the best-dressed guests, sweepstakes, and live entertainment.
Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel
See the race that stops the nation by the seaside at the fabulous Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel. With a drool-worthy menu complete with a 3-hour beverage package for $149 per head, it will be a fantastic day out!
