Narrabeen
The Narrabeen Lagoon has calm waters, ideal for beginners. It’s usually a pretty quiet place so you won’t be bumping into people either. You can hire stand up boards for just $20 for an hour, or $70 for a whole day! Book here.

Manly
Manly Wharf is another excellent venue for paddle boarding. Manly Kayak Centre offers paddle boarding and yoga – AT THE SAME TIME! This is the best outdoor fitness session you will ever break a sweat at.

Watson’s Bay
Definitely a favourite for paddle boarders. Sydney Scenic SUP hold guided lessons from Mosman and also Gibsons Beach (right next to Watson’s Bay Ferry Wharf), leading you around with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, and a water picnic! Instructors bring out snacks as you float around taking in the sights. SUP encourages groups or parties to book together – fancy some paddle boarding for your next family gathering?

Rose Bay
Rose Bay is a gorgeous, shallow and well-protected area for paddle boarding. Starting at Tingira Reserve beach, Rose Bay Aquatic Hire will allow you to glimpse the gorgeous islands and hidden coves of Sydney, with an amazing harbour back drop. They even offer special big boards to fit 4 people- now that’s a family fun day!
Coogee Beach
This is a good one for warmer weather. Coogee Beach SUP will take you out to the flat waters created by Wedding Cake Island, and around to nearby Gordon’s Bay where you’re sure to be immersed in schools of marine critters in a setting that is something out of a mermaid’s dream.
Cronulla
Cronulla SUP (stand up paddleboarding) offer kids’ lessons (ages 7-15)- an awesome way to introduce a healthy lifestyle whilst developing key skills like balance, co-ordination and ocean safety and awareness.
