The BEST Gymnastics Classes In Brisbane

Gymnastics classes are something you’ll never regret for your children. They learn balance, coordination, resilience and strength – all while tumbling around and having a whole lot of fun. With a wide range of gymnastics classes available, your children can choose from acrobatics, rhythmic or artistic gymnastics, or even circus skills.

Brisbane has myriad gymnastics classes available but we’ve whittled them down to our six favourites:

Lawnton Academy Of Artistic Gymnastics

If competitive gymnastics are where you think your child is at, Lawnton is a great place to start. It’s been the starter school for a series of Olympians, and has also produced many regional, state, national and international champions in its nine year history.  Lawnton offers challenging, safe and enjoyable programs that inspire all participants of all levels and abilities to reach their full potential.

Robertson Gymnastics

Robertson Gymnastics Academy is the number 1 acrobatic gymnastics academy in Brisbane, running classes for kids aged 2 and up. It’s the home of several Australian national team members in acrobatic gymnastics and trampoline sports and runs across two venues: Sunnybank Hills and Tingalpa.

Premier Gymnastics 

Premier gymnastics provides something for everyone, with those that want to compete given quality coaching by some seriously experienced and impressive gymnasts, while those that just merely to have some fun are able to do just that. Students can learn artistic, rhythmic, or general gymnastics as well as kindergym and aerobics.

YMCA Gymnastics

Offering gymnastics classes for children from the moment they can walk up to the age of 13 (and then youth classes from 14 up), YMCA has programs that will enourage your kids to participate in a safe and structured environment. They can learn gymnastics all the way through to national competition levels. In YMCA gymnastics, children are taught self-confidence, personal responsibility, leadership, and respect – as well as a whole lot of physical fun.

Balance Brisbane

There’s a great range of classes at Balance, plus they run holiday programs as well. They claim they have “gymnastics fun for everyone” and they come seriously close. From mini monkeys at 18 months of age to teens and even adults flexibility classes, Balance prides itself on the fact it doesn’t train kids to compete at gymnastics, but rather to just enjoy it.

Flipside Circus

Bear with us here: sure, circus isn’t technically gymnastics, but it’s a lot of fun tumbling and spinning and twisting and turning – and it’s sure to keep kids fit and active. Flipside Circus runs classes from 18 months to 17 years, plus an all abilities class so there really is a class for everyone. Plus they offer a free trial so you’ve got nothing to lose.
