Mums & Bubs

Darling Harbour really does have something for everyone – especially your littlies! Have a dream day out with your tiny tots this Autumn at one of these exciting but age appropriate activities in one of Sydney’s most iconic locations.
1. Wonders Of The Water
Don’t miss the opportunity to dive into the Australian National Maritime Museum for hours of entertainment for both adults and kids. With fascinating artefacts, lively exhibitions and the opportunity to climb aboard real warships and submarines, you and your toddlers will be captivated. The Mini Mariners events are perfect for 2-5 year olds who love to immerse themselves in singing, dancing, crafts and exploration.
2. No Ordinary Playground
The Darling Harbour Children’s Playground is one of Sydney’s best. For a heap of giggles, take your toddlers here to play water games with in-built water pumps and buckets, climbing ropes, swings, slides, and a 21 metre flying fox. It’s one of the most epic and innovative playground experiences ever!
3. Wild Animal Encounters
What little one doesn’t love getting up close to some of Australia’s best-loved wildlife? From cute & cuddly to scaly & slimy; WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo has an impressive collection of animals, reptiles, insects and birds to satisfy the wonderful, curious nature of toddlers. Don’t miss the daily ‘Animal Encounters’ sessions with koalas, pythons, cassowaries, echidnas and even wombats.
4. Old-Fashioned Carnival Fun
Full of history and still going strong, the Carousel at Darling Harbour will delight the young and old alike. Located at Palm Grove near the Sydney Visitor Centre, it’s the second oldest surviving carousel in Australia, driven by a steam engine made in 1892. Let toddlers have a little bit of history with their next laugh.
5. Chinese Dress Ups & Fish Feeding
Beware! Toddlers may not want to leave! For a magical experience, visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship. Feed some koi carp swimming in the lake, get lost amongst the lush waterfalls and exotic plants, visit the Teahouse for some Chinese tea and Dim Sum, and get dressed up in traditional Chinese wear, followed by a photo to make the memory last forever.
6. Monkeying Around
Kiddies just love the Monkey Baa Theatre Company, and their terrific live entertainment. At this premier theatre for young people, take your toddlers to playgroup, ideal for children 0-5yrs. It’s fun, relaxed, and FREE! There’s one on April 4th, and runs for 2 hours, so don’t miss out!
