As busy parents, trying to find activities to keep the kids entertained is no easy feat. If you've already visited every kid's playground in a 20-kilometre radius and sticking the kids in front of the screen all day is not an option, we've got something creative up our sleeve to keep the kids happy, active, entertained and out of your hair!

Pine Street Creative Arts Centre

Pine Street Creative Arts Centre in Chippendale is run by the City of Sydney Council and is hosting over 30 different kids workshops over 2 weeks these school holidays. All workshops are led by specialist tutors and practising artists so you know that the creativity at Pine Street knows no bounds. Catering for kids aged 6 years to high school, Pine Street Creative Arts Centre is sure to make these school holidays that much more exciting for the kids.

Workshops For Kids 6 To 12 Years

Kids can get creative and hands-on with ceramics classes where they'll make plant holders and finger puppets, or there are printmaking classes using fluorescent ink to create luminescent works of art. There’s also a range of fun workshops teaching painting and drawing skills, from watercolour self-portraits to futuristic cityscapes.

Workshops For High School Students

For older teens 12 to 17 years, there are workshops teaching stop-frame film animation and printmaking using solar plate etching techniques. Teenagers can also get their hands dirty with ceramic wheel-throwing workshops.
