Race Down The Longest Alpine Slide In The Southern Hemisphere

We love Corin Forest in the winter - it's the closest and dare we say, most kid-friendly snow experience in the state. But did you know that in summer you can still get your mountain thrills on? Corin Forest is home to Southern Hemisphere's longest alpine slide.

Nestled in the Brindabella mountain range as part of Corin Forest Alpine Resort, this 1.2km silver toboggan ride will send you hurtling down the mountain in six minutes flat - or a little slower if you choose to have your hands steady on the brakes!

Purchase your tickets and a lift will deliver you to the top of the track and then you descend through the beautiful surrounds of Corin Forest.

Kids under 8 can ride for free but, of course, they need an adult to accompany them. I don't think it will be too hard to convince Mum and Dad to have a whirl on this!

Corin Forest makes for a great day trip out of Canberra as it's only 45 mins away from our nation's capital. Read all about the snow fun at Corin Forest here.
