“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing”, George Bernard Shaw once wrote. So put on your sneakers and let’s go play!

Fun For Kids Of All Ages And Abilities

If you live in Sydney's north-west, you’re in for hours of fun, chasing and games. Called Livvi's Place Elara and located in Marsden Park, this newly opened 7,400 square metre playground features a water play zone, a flying fox, slides, swings, climbing nets, a carousel, fun glider, trampoline loop and a basketball half-court. Did we mention that it is wheelchair accessible and equipped with soft-fall rubber flooring, visual and audio stimulation, all to maximise creative, physical, social and cognitive play for kids of all ages and abilities?

“Beep-Beep” On The Dinky Track

The highlight of Livvi’s Place Elara must surely be the dinky track – a purpose-built scooter & bike track with road signs, markings, mini-roundabouts, and a waving ramp – all within the fenced playground. There is also a cool pretend-petrol station and some bike racks.

The $3.2 million project – co-created by the property giant Stockland and the Touched by Olivia Foundation, Variety: the Children's Charity, Blacktown City Council and Marsden Park – brings the number of inclusive playgrounds in Sydney to six. It is part of the NSW's Everyone Can Play initiative, which claims that play is for everyone, so our playspaces should be too.

Finding Livvi’s Place Elara

About 30 mins north-west of Parramatta, Livvi’s Place Elara is located in Marsden Park at the Stockland Elara estate. You will find it on the corner of Elara Boulevard and Northbourne Drive, off Richmond Road.
