New Acre Urban Farm and Eatery To Open On Sydney’s North Shore
The team behind the fabulous foodie hotspot Acre - the buzzing restaurant and green space in the inner city’s historic Camperdown Commons - is launching a sprawling new outpost on Sydney’s lower north shore.
The much-anticipated establishment, Acre Artarmon, will emulate its sister venue as an extensive urban farm-inspired oasis, with the inclusion of bakeries, cafes, restaurants, bars, a kitchen garden and a greenhouse-style function space.
Vibrant bougainvillea vines, garden trails, vertical gardens and fresh produce will envelop the nature-packed open-air sanctuary that will also boast a chicken coop, picnic-style areas and kids’ playgrounds, for the full gamut of family fun.
With a focus on sustainability and farm-to-table dining, visitors can engage in an immersive experience exploring an abundance of fresh herbs, flowers and fruit grown on-site, and are encouraged to wander through, touching, smelling and viewing the growing produce. There will also be guided tours, chefs’ demonstrations, meet-the-maker tastings, produce markets, kids workshops and more, designed to educate and inspire everyone who visits the grounds.
“Acre Artarmon represents a rebirth and emergence out of this challenging time,” Acre Director Luke Heard has said. “We hope that with its sprawling outdoor, open-air, and spacious areas, combined with new and exciting food and agritourism experiences, acre Artarmon will offer a place to connect and reconnect for us all.”
Acre Artarmon is located at 1 Frederick Street, Artarmon - adjacent to HomeHQ Artarmon - and is expected to open in September 2020.
