This art cafe and stationery shop, nestled in Regent St, Chippendale, creates its own stationery products, runs craft workshops for all ages and has a splash room!
Art Cafe Koko Kawaii: Art and craft classes for all ages and disabilities.
Come in, grab a baked good, a milkshake, or something else delicious from the Cafe and for just $5, you can roll an Art Trolley over to your table and craft while you eat and drink.
Owner Brittany tells ellaslist, "Many young children love the Art Trolleys, and we even have babies using them!"
The best bit is you don't even need to book in advance. Just roll an Art Trolley over to your table anytime the Cafe is open.
The Cafe also offers a paint your own sugar cookies option, which we LOVE. These paint-your-own cookies are just $6 and provide endless fun for the whole family.
The Splash Room
The splash room is designed for you to get messy and experiment with paint. If you are looking for an activity that doesn't need talent or skill, then this is it!
You will be given a canvas, and a jumpsuit, so have fun and splash paint, pour paint, flick paint or make an artwork that you can proudly display on your wall! Koko Kawaii permits you to get as messy as you like so enjoy the process of splashing paint. Paint, canvas and jumpsuit provided.
The Splash room is available for most ages, but anyone under 13 needs to be supervised during the session.
Primary School workshops for the school holidays
Primary school workshops will introduce different mediums to the group, including acrylic paint, watercolours, clay, chalk pastels, oil pastels and charcoal. The workshops encourage participants to interact and enjoy creating socially. Art can be therapeutic and help reduce stress, boost self-esteem, increase focus, enhance problem-solving skills and fuel your imagination. There's a new project each week and all art materials are provided.
Birthday Parties
Koko Kawaii customises birthday packages to include food, drink, craft and cakes. Art Cafe owner Britney tells us that a birthday party booking at the Cafe is around $35 pp, or if the splash room is also booked, the cost is around $45 pp.
