Day trip 

Okay, so it’s not as exciting as a weekend away, but a day trip here and there over the Easter break is sure to ward off cries of ‘I’m bored!’ There are plenty of places just outside Brisbane begging to be explored. A day trip to the beach is a no-brainer with our warm autumn days, while a trip to Mt Tamborine offers loads to do for the family with bush walks, Thunderbird Park, the Tree Tops Challenge, glow worm caves, wineries, a brewery and more. Tangalooma and Stradbroke Island promise a fun mini-break, and Springbrook National Park is another great spot for family fun.

Lockyer Valley 

Easter is the perfect time of year for a country escape. The Lockyer Valley, at the foot of the Great Dividing Range, is just an hour from Brisbane but a world away. Enjoy heritage trails, bushwalking and wineries. There are plenty of parks for the kids to explore, birdwatching, fishing, canoeing and more.
