Explore Brisbane Valley On An Ottaba Llama Walk

Looking for a fun way to enjoy the outdoors with the kids? How about a short walk through the beautiful Brisbane Valley with a llama or two?

Ottaba Llama Walks offer 2-3km walks through the countryside, with a llama to keep you company. Llamas are affectionate and intelligent, and - just like our kids - each comes with its own unique personality and character. They've been pack animals in South America for hundreds of years, and they're a great walking companion due to their gentle, social nature.

Ottaba Llama Walks say they have a llama to suit everyone.

Ottaba Llama Walks has scoped out some of the best walking trails in the Brisbane Valley, and they have the friendliest llamas who are just waiting to take you on a walk (you walk beside them, you don't ride them, to be clear).

Terrain is mostly flat, and there isn't any minimum fitness level required. Although children aged under 8 will need to be teamed with a grown-up to lead a llama.

Go on a Brisbane Valley Rail Trail or check their events page for their regular farm days, where you can meet llamas, alpacas, a camel, mini goats, cattle, donkeys and sheep.

And for the parents, there's also a monthly llama wine walk, which sounds like a story waiting to happen.
