Ever wanted to climb inside a giant dinosaur? Well if you haven't before, you'll be tempted to at McNish Reserve, home to Mimi the Muttaburrasaurus!

The giant dinosaur is the focus of the play area and its a ton of fun, either climbing all over the outside or running up the net to explore the interior - which includes an in-built megaphone so little ones can let loose with their own dinosaur roar.

Sliding down the tail leads kids to a giant egg to play inside and across the way is a cute baby dinosaur rocker, offering features for both older and younger kids. My four year old thought it was fabulous, and it was a bit of a struggle at one point to get her to actually leave the dinosaur at home time!

The reserve itself is a great place to lay down a picnic blanket and spend some time, with extensive grounds, trees and even a creek to play by.

Right near the playground is a communal garden with some shade and picnic tables to sit at. It isn't fenced, and there are a few cars coming in and out at the kindergarten opposite, super-close to the playground itself, so that's something to bear in mind.
