If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with a little something for everyone, Gyuniku Japanese BBQ & Sushi Buffet is a great choice! I recently visited with my husband, and it was a real treat for us.

Food & Variety
The buffet at Gyuniku is really impressive. They offer a wide variety of Wagyu, fresh sushi and sashimi, ready-to-eat Japanese dishes, a Chirashi bar and of course dessert. The highlight for me was definitely the Wagyu! The quality is top-notch with a marbling score of 7-9+ and there’s a great selection.
If you’ve got sushi lovers in the family, they’ll be in heaven here. The sushi and sashimi are so fresh, you can really taste the quality. It’s not always easy to find a place that does both BBQ and sushi so well, but Gyuniku really nails it.
For those who just want ready-to-eat options, the buffet has loads! There’s everything from crispy tempura prawn and karaage (Japanese fried chicken) to delicious, soft agedashi tofu. One of my personal favourites was the DIY Chirashi Bowl station. You add fresh salmon to rice and other toppings of your choice – it feels like making my own little sushi bowl!
And for desserts, froyo with a selection of toppings and a few Japanese desserts to try.
Service & Convenience
When entering the restaurant, you’re greeted with a warm welcome from the team. I noticed a few families with prams and high chairs, so it’s toddler-friendly too. I’m a fan of the super convenient napkin drawer at each table. The wait staff are quick to clear your dirty plates so there is room for more food at the table.
Overall, Gyuniku really has something for everyone. It’s high-quality, delicious food in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. If you’re looking for a meal out that’ll keep everyone happy, from little ones to grandparents, I’d recommend giving it a try!
