One of Melbourne's newest playgrounds features a whole lot of fun for all ages, with an excellent toddler area, huge climbing structure for older kids and the adventurous, and even a brand-new set of exercise equipment set in a lovely wooded area.

The area set aside for littlies has a regular and expression swing, small blue roundabout, climbing structure suitable for the under-5s, and an excellent sandpit area with digger and water feature.

There is also a basketball half-court right nearby the exercise equipment, so bring a ball or two. We loved the hopscotch painted right on the winding pathways, as well as fun number and letter games, a bar of plastic music instruments, and fun native area statues. And the weather! We managed to go there on one of the most spectacular spring days we've had so far.

The playground has plenty of monkey bars and tall climbing frames with bonus ropes course, stepping stones, regular swings, and a super-fast twisty slide that's guaranteed to get your hair standing on end! Kids shoot out the bottom at a rate of knots, so be warned.

Best feature: The giant climbing frame which will keep the kids occupied for some time, the fun and fast twisty slide, and the sandpit.
