Daniel Radcliffe Works His Magic Reading Harry Potter

  • Family

Anything is possible in the Wizarding World, and now you can hear Harry Potter reading Harry Potter!

Author J.K. Rowling has been sharing her magic during the pandemic, loosening licensing restrictions, making her celebrated work more accessible and creating the quarantine-inspired online hub, Harry Potter at Home.

Part of the official Wizarding World fansite, Harry Potter At Home is full of fun activities to keep fans of the famous wizard enthralled during lockdown. In the latest addition to the treasure trove, celebrities are reading the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, in a series of free videos.

The first to deliver the online oration is the boy who lived himself, Daniel Radcliffe. The actor, who played the world's greatest wizard in all of the Harry Potter movies, will be joined by a host of other celebrities including Stephen Fry, Dakota Fanning, David Beckham, and Eddie Redmayne, each reading one of the book’s 17 chapters. More star narrators are expected to be announced soon.

A new chapter will be released each week on Wizarding World, with audio versions also available exclusively on Spotify. The first chapter, read by Radcliffe from his couch at home, is online now!
