It’s big, it’s vibrant, it’s proud! Want to celebrate Sydney Mardi Gras 2016 but not sure how to get the kids involved? We have the perfect Mardi Gras events for you! Family Fun Day on 28 February is the perfect way to incorporate children into this massive Sydney celebration.

Family Fun Day

On 28 February at the Village Green, Darling Quarter, Family Fun Day is the perfect Mardi Gras event for the whole family! With free kids activities including hula hoops, bubbles, interactive stage shows, face painting, fairy floss and photo booths, this day is a guaranteed laugh. Described as a giant picnic, Joyce, the hostess for the day transforms this space into a magical day of FUN, dress-ups, entertainment, and rainbows galore. Pack a picnic rug, and see you there!

1pm - Dj Lorna Clarkson from Kinderling Kids Digital Radio – 1 – 3pm kicking kids dance music

Free Face Painting from 1pm – 4pm

Free craft activities managed by Artists Tammy Brennan and Louise Kate Anderson from 12pm – 4pm – hula hoops, rainbow friendship bracelet making, mask and rainbow crown making

Free Fairy floss from 1pm until it runs out!

Justin Shoulder kooky performance artist live appearance at 3pm

Kush Kids Cabaret Duo performing musical circus show – 3 × 15 acts between 1pm – 3 pm

Photographer Richard Hedger 1 – 3 pm onsite for free family portraits

Kush Cabaret Dress up box – 1pm – 4pm [A wide range of extraordinary dress up pieces and a costumed wardrobe mistress, dressing up the public, in character, and managing the dress up area, throughout the event}

Glitter Militia inflatable rainbow onsite for fabulous fun photo opportunities

Hostess Joyce 1 – 3 pm on site with bubble gun and fun
