Brisbane’s first American barbecue restaurant, The Smoke are experts in cooking smoky, juicy, tender meats. If classic comfort food is what you’re after, The Smoke has it in spades with the meat cooked low and slow over hickory wood in a smoker all the way from Kentucky. You won’t go hungry at The Smoke with a hefty menu featuring beef brisket and beef ribs, pork belly and pork ribs, lamb ribs, smoked chicken and premium rib eye steak. Don’t forget the burgers, subs, sandwiches and buffalo wings.

Twelve Boar – Various locations 

If you’re craving real wood-smoked pork, brisket and beef ribs, head to Twelve Boar for a serious dose of deliciousness. Located in Cleveland, Wellington Point and North Lakes, Twelve Boar are smoking and cooking their meat fresh seven days a week. If you like your meat melting off the bone, try the 12-hour smoked pulled pork or the tender and full of flavour 12-hour smoked brisket. Special Rub – Coorparoo 

It’s hot, smoky work, but someone’s got to do it. Special Rub cook their meats in true Texan style, ‘dry rubbing’ them with spices before smoking them over hardwood for 8 – 12 hours. On the menu, you’ll find brisket, ribs, pork butt, wings, burgers, a selection of sides and home-made sauces.
