Ranking the best holiday properties in Australia comes down to star ratings and stellar guest reviews, with the top three homes receiving Gold, Silver and Bronze badges, followed by seven finalists, also with impressive guest reviews.

1. Gold Holiday Home of the Year - 'Attunga KV', Kangaroo Valley

Attunga KV in NSW's Kangaroo Valley was awarded the Gold badge for this year's Australia's Best Holiday Homes.

8. The Greenhouse Retreat in Pearl Beach, NSW - sleeps eight with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

9. The Shed in Gerroa, NSW - sleeps eight with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

10. Tranquility by the Lake in Port Douglas, Qld - sleeps eight with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
