A Brand New Ferris Wheel is Coming to Melbourne
It's been three years since Melbourne bid farewell to the much-loved Melbourne Star in Docklands, but we have updates!
High-flying fun is back on the cards with a brand new Ferris Wheel set to grace Melbourne's skyline, and this time, it's nestled in a prime spot by the Yarra River.
A Brand New Ferris Wheel is Coming to Melbourne
Skyline Attractions, the folks behind the Ferris Wheels in both St Kilda and Glenelg have unveiled plans for a new 35-metre-tall structure in Polly Woodside Park.
Set to stay for at least six months (with the potential for longer if it's a hit), the new $5-million marvel boasts clear perspex glass pods, offering unparalleled views of South Wharf, the CBD skyline, the Yarra River, and Southbank. And to top it off, the fully enclosed pods ensure comfort come rain, hail, or shine.
When Will the Skyline Melbourne Ferris Wheel Open?
The best part about the news in our book is that the wait for a spin won't be long—the new Melbourne Ferris Wheel is openining next week! The precinct surrounding the wheel will feature a nine-hole mini golf course and a dining area serving delicious eats and drinks.
Skyline Melbourne will be open daily from 10 am to 11 pm and located at Polly Woodside Park, South Wharf. A ride will set you back $20 per adult and $10 per child. Sign us up!
