Oatley Park

Easily the largest recreational area in the area, this 45 hectare park is one Sydney’s finest areas of natural bushland.  There is a netted swimming area, a playground featuring an old steamroller, cycleways, lookouts, barbecues, a Soccer/Cricket Oval, a castle (!) and loads of natural beauty and grassy space to run around in. The man-made wetlands of Lime Kiln Bay Reserve, which adjoin Oatley Park, provide refuge for bird species and native mammals which are uncommon in the region can still be found within the park, including the short-beaked echidna and swamp wallaby.
