Early Childhood Centres are a fantastic FREE resource provided by NSW government. Your local Centre can be an absolute lifeline for new mums. The Centres are staffed by experienced Midwives and Child & Family qualified nurses who have seen it all and are happy to give advice on all aspects of parenting from the seemingly trivial to the major issues mums experience. This is where you’ll go for your initial blue book health checks and where you’ll gather for your first weekly mothers group meetings. Other Services include: a health check at the clinic or a home visit before your child is 6 weeks old, details on immunisation, courses in parenting and information regarding specialist services for your child.
