The Early Start Discovery Space is an interactive educational space designed for children and adults to enjoy together and make for an excellent day out with kids of any age.
An Australian first – this Discovery Space is the only dedicated children’s ‘museum’ – A fully interactive space designed for children from birth to 12 years and their parents and carers. Modelled on children’s museums found in cities throughout the USA and across Europe, the centres purpose is to provide valuable learning experiences for young children and their accompanying older siblings and adults through play-based learning.
In this large all weather venue kids will discover numerous creative play experiences. Visit The Pod – a 270 degree, double-storey high video projection that responds to your movements, or how about taking the Tummy Tour – a fully interactive trip through one of the body’s most important organs – kids will be the piece of food winding in and out of a replica digestive system complete with juices and alarmingly accurate sound effects! What better way for them to learn what happens to all that food they eat!

All experiences are designed so that both children and adults can comfortably participate. They are constructed using natural materials that are appealing to look at and touch; and involve seamless integration of technology to enhance the experience. Children are encouraged to use their imagination to create masterpieces that reflect their experiences in the Discovery Space.

The Early Start Discover Space is open Tuesday – Sunday from 9am – 4pm. Closed on public holidays.
Children and adults are $15.
Babies under 12 months are free and concessions available plus Annual Membership Packages are extremely good value
